Living the Dream.

You always like..visualize where your gonna be and what your gonna do....this aint it.

That's a line from Surf's Up, a funny animated movie about a penguin chasing his dream of surfing.(chill, this is not some cheesy "go chasing your dreams, you go girl" kind of a post)

We've all had dreams and most of us are probably wondering or wishing we had chased it.
For some people,it was art,painting,some music,some writing,dance etc.

As another weekend nearly draws to a close where half of it has been spent sleeping, and the other half watching football (el clasico on right now but net speed too low to stream),thoughts invariably drift to the week ahead.

The same old week, the same old lectures to sit through, and another weekend to look forward to.Except, after another messed up exam a couple of days back, kind of got me thinking much further ahead.Im beginning to begrudge it more and more, i aint no programmer and have never really had much of a passion for it & probably never will.

Always had it in my head, that as soon as i get the degree, i shall get the hell out of here, never come back and join advertising, where i had interned for a bit, and loved the job.

My mind,bitch.

Except theres always that longing doubt in the head, what if its not all you had thought it to be?, what if the only reason you wanted to do it was because it was something you couldnt have, i mean wheres the guarantee that the same issues wont creep up when taking it up as a job, its fun as a hobby but making it a job can soon change that to a chore.

I know some people who've been forced into their fields, but i aint one of them, i didnt know what i wanted four years back, so i chose a safe option, and i'm pretty sure that quite a lot of people did the same, blaming parents and saying they pushed is easy, but if you were confident and bold enough you should have had the balls to do what you like and face the consequences if it didnt work out.

Point is,this, anything you do will have its fair share of boring and frustrating times, even a dream job, but if at the end of the day you feel happy with what you've done, stick to it,it takes time and patience.

If its something which gives you satisfaction, you probably wont even have the time to think about if its what you want to do, so if you're the super busy kind, you've hit the jackpot, it might not be your dream job, but its something you dont hate doing.

On the other hand,if its something which makes you write a blogpost about,it probably is.

PS:Powercut in my room now,FML.
