That has nothing to do with this post,got it off twitter,cracked me up,thought id share the joy,funny one no?.No? Ahh well.
Anyways,was just talking to an old friend (always do when things get unbelievably frustrating out here),shared the frustrations of this place and then went on to the inevitable Reminiscing phase.
Remember when we did "so and so".."Yeah man..good times"."Fuck that was crazy man..cant believe we did it","Do you remember that one time we..." was more or less the gist of the conversation.
Probably happened to everyone out there,when things aren't going particularly well or maybe your just bored, we tend to look at the past and think of all the things we did then,especially when your away from home and living in a different city(or in my case,Satan's own village).
Funny thing is how,more often than not,you only remember the good times,and the bad times are completely a miss.
Yet given a choice( i mean suppose there's a time machine or something),in the blink of an eye would you give up everything you have now and go back?..Probably,not.
When in college,people talk about school days being kickass(I'm not one of them),we bitch about our current lives(definitely one of them),and about 5 years down the line we'll reminisce about our college days (maybe one of them) and so on and so on.
Its a good thing to forget the bad times and keep the good memories but hindsight can be a real bitch that way,shows you what you want to see and can mess your head,it can stop you from moving on and keep you living in the past.
Probably the main reason we probably reminisce is cause things arent quite the way you imagined and you'd like to pacify your mind that they were all well at a point.They probably werent,and you probably know that deep down somewhere but well we still do it.
All about how you react to change i guess, if things are going great guns at your new place then this probably doesnt pertain to you, but at some point i'm sure it'll enter your head at some point sooner or later.
Bottom line is, reminisce all the fuck you want,give yourself an orgy reminiscing if you want,just move on eventually tho and remember life at the moment isnt that bad also(although if your reading this blog its probably not the best hehe,jk..seriously,dont get offended or anything.)
